Jiangsu Intellectual Property Protection Center Hosts Face-to-Face Technical Exchange Meeting for Enterprises on Batch Preliminary Examination of Invention Patent Applications in Nanjing

To further advance the pilot program for batch pre-examination of invention patent applications, continuously enhance the quality and service efficiency of batch pre-examination work, and assist provincial innovation entities in developing high-value patent layouts, the Jiangsu Intellectual Property Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangsu Protection Center”) hosted a face-to-face technical exchange meeting for batch pre-examined invention patent applications in Nanjing on the morning of October 17. Over 20 technical leaders from key batch pre-examined enterprises attended.

During the session, Jiangsu Protection Center examiners engaged in one-on-one discussions with enterprises regarding technical solutions, technological advancement, and patent portfolio strategies within batch pre-examination cases. They provided recommendations on defining patent protection scope and enhancing patent document drafting quality, offered on-site solutions to challenges encountered by enterprises in patent portfolio planning, and clarified procedural matters, acceptance technical fields, and case quality requirements for batch pre-examination. These efforts helped enterprises gain a clear understanding of the requirements and workflow for batch pre-examination.

This event represents the Jiangsu Protection Center's concrete implementation of batch pre-examination for invention patent applications, focusing on core technologies and adhering to a quality-oriented approach. It strengthened communication and cooperation between the Protection Center and enterprises participating in batch pre-examination. Moving forward, the Jiangsu Protection Center will continue engaging with key innovation entities, focusing on local priority industries, and providing high-quality patent pre-examination services. This effort aims to foster and develop new productive forces, offering long-term support for innovation entities to overcome challenges in core technologies and achieve comprehensive protection for high-quality patents.

At the meeting, examiners from the Jiangsu Protection Center conducted one‑on‑one exchanges with enterprises regarding the technical solutions, technical advancement, and patent layout of batch pre‑examination cases. They provided targeted suggestions on defining the scope of patent protection and improving the quality of patent document drafting, and offered on‑site responses to questions raised by enterprises during the patent layout process. In addition, the examiners explained the procedures, accepted fields, and case quality requirements of the batch pre‑examination system, helping enterprises gain a clearer understanding of the work requirements and processes.

This event served as a concrete practice of the Jiangsu Protection Center in focusing on core technologies and adhering to a quality‑oriented approach in carrying out batch pre‑examination of invention patent applications, further strengthening the communication and connectivity between the Center and enterprises participating in the batch pre‑examination program. Moving forward, the Jiangsu Protection Center will continue to engage with key innovative entities, focus on local priority industries, and provide high‑quality patent pre‑examination services.
